Logos & Branding
Logos designed from scratch as part of comprehensive branding packages for clients. My branding process always begins with exhaustive research and sketches, and ends with a polished, beautiful complete package and a delighted client.
I was thrilled to work with the City of Sandpoint — voted Most Beautiful Small Town in America by Rand McNally — to develop their very first brand for the entire municipality! In a region where logos are dominated by mountains and lakes, it was a unique challenge to develop a visual brand that espoused the wonderful selling points of the area (namely the stunning lake and mountains, and the marvelous Long Bridge that takes you into the city) in a fresh way that stood apart. The logo I created now adorns the city on signage, art installations, vehicles, government documents, and more.
I explore every nook and cranny of a concept before settling on the perfect solution. Dozens of pages of sketches evolved into in these color concepts.
I teamed with Timberline Helicopters, an international industry-leading aerospace company, to develop a suite of logos for their corporation and subsidiaries. Now emblazoned upon a fleet of top-of-the-line aircraft and a plethora of apparel, merchandise, and consumer goods, the Timberline Helicopters brand has become one of the most celebrated in its industry.
The branding process always begins on paper. I examine the industry, the competition, and the client’s dream for their company as I explore shapes, forms, contrast, and the potential for visual puns.
Ranked one of the best dive bars in the Pacific Northwest! I developed a comprehensive brand for their renovation and renewal, including a fresh logo, website, and dozens of event posters and advertisements that consistently fill the bar! I also had the opportunity to design the 219 Pilsner brand and can, which now adorns shelves next to PBR in Inland Northwest supermarkets and liquor stores.
